We don’t put new fish straight onto the shop floor. Every new arrival is assessed, settled, and observed for a minimum of 7 days on a separate filtration system before it’s introduced to our display tanks.
That extra work matters: it supports welfare, reduces stress, and helps you take home healthier stock with fewer surprises. Our quarantine systems are maintained daily, including ~10% water changes every day, to keep conditions stable and clean.
Fish Planet is built by people who live this hobby. We run planted tanks, community systems, shrimp tanks and aquascapes ourselves — so when you ask a question, you’re getting experience, not guesswork.
Multi-award winning. 5-star welfare licensed. Two London locations.
We choose higher-quality fish from better environments — even when it costs more. Mass-produced livestock is often kept in tight conditions, stressed, and too many don’t make it through transport. We’d rather do fewer things properly: source well, care properly, and help you succeed at home.
We’re not here to sell you a quick purchase. Our goal is to give everyone the chance to enjoy their aquarium without unnecessary disappointment. We’ve helped bring a lot of people back to the hobby after they’d given up from repeated losses — simply by sourcing better and supporting them properly.
That’s the Fish Planet London standard.
